2016 MALiA Fall Meeting and Program

The 2016 MALiA Fall meeting and program will be held Friday, October 7 at King University, Bristol, TN from 10am – 2:00pm.

Taking risks and playing it SAFE: infusing your library practice with improvisation
MALiA presents Jill Markgraf, Professor and Head of Library Research and Instruction at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. Jill will discuss employing tenets of improv, such as Suspending judgement, Accepting all offers, Focusing on the other, and Embracing failure (SAFE), and engage attendees in activities to enhance library practice. Join us and learn how laughter and play in the workplace are productive and essential in challenging times!
